Was stuck in front of a computer screen this week instead of sewing, and by Friday night I was ready for FUN.
And what’s more fun than getting stuck into some sewing. For once I have plenty of weather- appropriate projects, too.

started the weekend watching the Bake Off finale & knitting, then a peek at the agatha raisin series
the blue fabric is from anne at http://bellemegan.wordpress.com/ and is a beautifully embroidered cotton lawn of liberty quality & weight – perfect for summers over here! cut the green view but lengthened to use the fabric available
yesterday’s dinner: nothing beats the heat like not cooking & enjoying a delivered chicken caesar salad!
wearing this first made me change some things, including chopping off pant legs, rehemming w/rayon bias, and using rayon bias on the now fully elasticated waistband. much more comfortable!
plus the insides look good. now wondering about patch pockets… there’s the 2 cut off pants legs pieces to fiddle with…
also used the rayon bias for arms & neck of the colette’s sorbetto blouse –

Looks like you made up for lost time with the sewing! A friend cooked chicken caesar salad for us yesterday, it’s one of my favourite Summer dishes – especially if, like you, I don’t have to make it myself.
