a bit o’ vintage

(Written Thursday & scheduled to post Sunday, just in case 😉)

Took time a week ago to visit some antique shops in a nearby town, and spied a few interesting items… presenting them in keeping with Wild Daffodil’s photo challenge.

Those are all great vintage examples….the sofa and book shelves would go nicely together, wouldn’t they? What a nice reading nook.
How did you fare in the storm? All safe and snug, I hope?

Yes, thank you, so far, so good. Interesting to see the differences between the different regions of the country, though. 😉
Didn’t think about purchasing any of those pieces – waaay too $$$ for my budget, but now you mention it, those 2 would have looked nice together. 😀

I have a great spot in my attic for them…..of course, I’d have to move all the existing boxes, and storage…..and get them up the stairs….and find some $$$$ HAHAHA

You might know that there has been terrible flooding in the north of England – fortunately I live in the south so although the roads are often flooded, the houses are, on the whole, safe. The forecast this week is for us to have the US storm visiting us, having picked up more water as it passes over the Atlantic – more relentless wind and rain – I feel so sorry for the people up north.

Thank you for your update. Can’t honestly click “Like” for such bad news, and yes, I knew about up north at the hol. Do hope the liquid energies dissipate over the Atlantic before hitting old Blight’s shores.

I’ve been looking at my teensy stock of yarns, too, as another day needs to be spent before the ice removeth itself sufficiently for total mobility around the area. Too much melt-refreeze overnight!
