The scarf is done, except for me deciding whether to use a brooch or a button closure . . .

(Edited to let you know the scarf design was made & christened The Octopus by Ali over at Thimberlina.)

everything but the loose ends!

and I made a batch of brownies in case Ms. Karen & Mr. Gary come by tomorrow.

Oh yes, the storm is supposed to be a doozy. From what I can see, it looks like it will stay to the south of us, but still a lot of snow is ahead. How about you? Hope you are not in its path?

Sorta-maybe, hopefully mostly snow/sleet and little ice to bring down power lines. A bit too country for my taste… Depends on a bunch of stuff, but nothing near the 2 feet of snow they’re forecasting for DC area. Am preparing for the worst & hoping for the best. Thanks for asking!

Thank you, Lovely! Hope you’re feeling 100% now, otherwise I’m liable to insist you recline on the sofa whilst I bring you tea & toast instead… well, might slip something else along side the toast… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wish I could stop by! Brownies for breakfast is my kind of heaven! You’ve done a great job with the scarf I may have just happened to call into my local wool shop yesterday. Hope you’re up for making another! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Well, stop when you’ve time ~ brownies anytime would suit me! Will hold off watching the first season of Shetland for that second octopus… Doesn’t make sense? Let me try to explain ~
Started watching the second season of Shetland (via YouTube), whilst finishing up that ski cap and the straggly ends of the other 2 scarves, then began the white octopus. For some reason, each suited the other. But now I need to go back and watch the first year of Shetland… will begin the second octopus then.
Hope that explains, but do let me know if I’ve gone too far round the bend! ๐Ÿ˜‰

It makes sense, though it’s not something I’ve watched, or heard of. I’m going to try and get to the post office tomorrow. Think it’ll take about a week to get to you. Don’t be disappointed – I couldn’t find any sparkles, but I think you’ll like it! ๐Ÿ˜€

Lovey, nothing you could possibly do would disappoint! You certainly don’t need to send anything, and are absolutely f-o-r-B-I-D-d-e-n to worry (hands on hips, glaring!) !
As for Shetland… long story, which you don’t need to follow…
Have a reader blog I follow, and they did a review which piqued my interest, so I looked up the woman author. Then I remembered seeing it briefly on telly up in Virginia. Then I saw the third year advertised somewhere (another blog probably) as beginning over your way.
The teensy library here HAS a couple of Cleeves’ books. Decided to see if the programme was available online. (Telly here is worse than rubbish & I was in a mood to watch.)
It was, I started watching, and the combination of having a better understanding of the author’s point of view and the prospect of finishing off the ski hat somehow went together.
Then I didn’t want to stop either crocheting or watching. So the octopus got done right quick, and I also finished the 6-part second season.
Am looking forward to watching the first season, and to your packet, when it arrives. Ooo, just love surprises!
          My apologies for the length!!!
