Can I sneak this in before The Monthly Stitch‘s September Amnesty Month ends here in the Northern Hemisphere? Gonna try!
An easy make using Butterick’s 5432, View A. Am already planning to do a knit version, as this cotton is fine, but I’d like more give for wearing whilst exercising. Only altered the pattern a tad, with an extra seam allowance on the outside of the 2 pieces to make them extra roomy!
Happy October sewing, everyone!
Yes, I have several, too, depending on what’s needed. But sometimes, I still use a safety pin! V-E-R-Y carefully!

I’ve got a couple of types of those elastic inserters. I always use them. I used to wiggle the elastic through with a couple of safety pins, but they kept opening and getting stuck in the fabric or me!

Sure beats a safety pin in one end!

I don’t use it often, but when I do it’s a real time-saver! Being flexible, you can insert it through the entire casing before pulling any elastic through. That can sometimes be very helpful in keeping the elastic from twisting.

I don’t think I’ve seen an elastic inserter before. What an ingenious idea!
