weekly photo challenge: reflections

Re*flec”tion (r?*fl?k”sh?n), n. [L. reflexio: cf. F. réflexion…]  . . .The reverting of the mind to that which has already occupied it; continued consideration; meditation; contemplation…

Upon reflection, and maaany wearings, this skirt really needs pockets.

However, somehow, adding pockets to the seams (easy enough to do) doesn’t seem to “fit.”

Then I read a post from Lizzie’s The Vintage Traveler this week, and the accompanying photo clicked.

I wanted something different.  Yet not really different.  Makes no sense, does it?

Am thinking, upon reflection, that 2 large pockets, on the corners rather than the flat edges, lined with some sheeting, will be just the ticket.

Sometimes it just takes time before an idea unfolds completely. Then a really functional wardrobe piece comes into being.

Thank you so much for posting that pic!
The second I saw those pockets I knew that’s what would balance out the skirt length. And be quirky!
